In 2023, an academy in Telford faced significant pressure from the local education authority to enhance its fire protection measures following a small electrical fire in the music hall. This case study details how SmartMist provided a robust fire suppression solution,ensuring the safety of students and staff and preventing future incidents.

The academy experienced a minor electrical fire in its music hall, which caused some damage and raised concerns within the local community. The local education authority insisted on improved fire safety measures to prevent future incidents and protect the well-being of the school’s population.The school needed a solution that could provide a reliable means of escape with a 30-minute runtime, ensuring comprehensive protection.

SmartMist proposed and installed a high-pressure mist system, renowned for its efficiency and minimal water usage. This system was ideal for the academy, providing effective fire suppression without causing extensive water damage. The system was designed to offer a 30-minute run time,ensuring a safe and reliable means of escape for students and staff in the event of a fire.

Our team carried out the installation over the summer holidays to avoid disrupting the school’s operations. The project was completed on time, and the system was fully commissioned before the start of the new term. This meticulous planning ensured that the installation did not interfere with the school’s normal running and was seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure.
