Our client, an operator of three holiday homes primarily rented through Airbnb, expressed a strong desire to integrate advanced fire safety measures into their properties. This initiative was particularly timely, as the UK Government had introduced new fire safety regulations for holiday lets in October 2023.
At SmartMist, our objective was to develop a design that not only complied with the latest fire safety guidelines but also anticipated potential future amendments to these regulations. Our focus was to ensure the safety of visitors while offering a cost-effective solution for our client.
We engineered a comprehensive fire safety design featuring a" means of escape" strategy. This involved the installation of a seven-mist-head system in each property, providing effective fire suppression along the escape routes leading to both the front and back doors. Remarkably, this retrofit installation was accomplished within a single day, minimizing disruption.
The client expressed great satisfaction with the SmartMist system. She highlighted the peace of mind it brought her, stating, "I can sleep a bit more soundly knowing that I have the SmartMist system in place."
